The Acer Liquid is a good mobile phone for individuals looking for a handset with a decent amount of features. It comes standard with a 3.5 inch screen. This is a nice sized display. While it is not the biggest in the market, it is one of the bigger ones. The phone’s Android 1.6 operating system has some people excited, at least those who are fans of the Android OS.

The Liquid’s 5 megapixel camera is one of its biggest draws. This makes for a very nice camera and puts it in the “front of the class” in this regard. 5 Megapixels is extremely generous. There are phones on the market with significantly less. The Liquid has pretty impressive specs, but individuals who want it, must be willing to hand over a good amount of money. Acer F1. Smartphone with power as well as looks

June 15th, 2009 Martin No comments

acer_f1Computer manufacturer Acer will soon be hitting the shelves with their first ever mobile phone. The tentatively named Acer F1 was recently shown at the Computex exhibition in Taiwan. When the phone was first announced back in February, many scoffed at Acer’s plans (nobody ever likes an upstart newcomer!), but from what we’ve seen Acer’s smartphone will more than hold its own when it’s released in September.

Named after their obsession with Formula 1 (Acer have numerous tie-ins with the BAR-Honda and Ferrari teams), the Acer F1 plans to live up to its codename thanks to one of the most talked-about pieces of technology today, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. The Snapdragon is rated at 1Ghz. By comparison, the iPhone 3G S’s ARM processor is rated at 620 MHz. This means the slick Windows Mobile 6.5 OS should pose no problem at all. Snapdragon also helps video, GPS, 3G, and Bluetooth all run more smoothly than ever before. Animations, transitions and everything else you can think to do will flow seamlessly.

    Features include:

    • A massive 3.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels
    • HSDPA 7.2Mbps
    • GPS
    • Wi-Fi
    • 3.5mm headset jack, well positioned at the top of the handset
    • FM radio
    • 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash

Don’t want to take our word on how good the Acer F1 could be? Then have a look at this Acer F1 review here. Or just take a look at the video below…
