Nokia X3. Understatednessness

If the X6 is Nokia’s newest, all singing, all dancing music phone, then the Nokia X3 is, erm, well, it’s slightly less loudly singing and kind of bobbing along to the music but not really, you know, getting into it or breaking a sweat or drawing attention to itself in anyway kind of phone.

Make sense? Probably not. Well, try this one: the X6 is really highly spec’ed and does lots of things as well as the very best phones out there whilst also being a top notch music phone. Whereas the Nokia X3 does lots of things in an average kind of way, whilst also being a top notch music phone. And here’s where we think there’s something interesting going on. Because while you might expect the allegedly ‘better’ X6 to do well, sell more, attract more attention, make an appearance in more people’s pockets over the coming months, we actually think the streamlined X3 is going to steal the limelight. Obviously price is an issue, and coming in at an almost obscenely cheap 115 Euros, the X3 is about as cheap as any phones comes, let alone top notch music phones. But we think people are also going to be all excited by the sheer (or kind of sheer) understatedness of the X3 compared to its bigger bro. Not to mention the fact that it’s substantially smaller and lighter, which ticks a lot of people’s boxes.

It’s all well and good being the best of the best, the shiniest of the shiny, the touchiest of the touchscreens, but we think you lot out there are getting a bit sick of it. And if we don’t know you better than you know you, then who else does, huh? But it’s true though, isn’t it: there’s a hundred “best of the best” phones out there, which means there’s 99 phones that are just plain being lied about.

Which is why we’re so sure this modest, competent little number (or little letter+number) is going to be flying off the shelves quicker than people can put together Nokia X3 deals like this. Check out this Nokia X3 review, or have a look at the video below if you need more convincing.
