Speculation Remains High on the New LG Chocolate Smartphone
Official photos of the LG’s new ultra chic fashion Chocolate phone have appeared on its website confirming the speculation about its stunning extravagant looks. This is a worthy successor to the multi awarded LG chocolate that first appeared in 2006. While officially announced, the South Korean mobile phone maker LG is still mum about technical details on its new LG BL40 Chocolate. This further fuels a more fired-up speculation. The photos themselves and a hands-on video of the handset are quite revealing, especially if those icons on the screen are the real thing. Here are some of them:
Intelligent Guesswork
- The LG BL40 Chocolate is expected to run LG’s latest S-Class user interface that enables dual screen display of entirely different contents simultaneously on its expansive homescreen.
- It sports an extraordinarily gorgeous 4″ LCD capacitive touchscreen with a near VGA resolution of 800 x 345 and a cinema aspect ratio of 21:9. This alone makes the BL40 Chocolate stand out without peer in the fashion and smartphone markets. Never before is watching a widescreen movie on a handset a more satisfying experience than on this. Not only does it elevate the multimedia experience, but browsing and other office functions starts to approach laptop readability and ease with this much screen size.
- The icons on the photos reveal support for WiFi, stereo FM radio and GPS.
- Its front camera obviously betrays it as a 3G device which usually comes with 7.2Mbps HSDPA for amazingly fast internet surfing and downloading.
- There’s obviously a camera with LED flash at the back and rumors of a 5-megapixel snapper with autofocus is yet to be confirmed.
The LG BL40 Chocolate is the 4th handset to come from LG’s Black Label series and is scheduled to appear in the markets by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2009. Hopes are high that that will come sooner by the end of August.
