Out of the new mid range phones nokia has lined up to be released later this year, the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic definitely stands out. With its stylish “rounded with the top chopped off” look and special light illuminating effects the phone definitely screams for attention. The phone will be released in 2 colors, metallic silver and blue and a more urban red and black color combo. The phone has special media access keys making the phone even more user friendly. The user can play, forward, rewind etc easily. The phone is a slider phone with a built in spring contraption allowing the phone to be manipulated using one hand. The 5330 XpressMusicfeatures an impressive 2.4 inch display with a QVGA 240 x 320 pixel resolution allowing up to 16 million colors.
The phone comes with an onboard 32 MB RAM and 64 MB flash memory. This memory can be extended using a MicroSD card to allow the user to store music in the phone.
The phone has a good range of connectivity options including quad band GSM and WCDMA. The phone also supports GPRS and has an inbuilt Bluetooth chip. The microUSB port with USB 2.0 allows the user to transfer data quickly by connecting the phone to a computer for example.
The S40 enhanced music player plays a wide variety of video and audio formats making it useful for the user to store a wide variety of music formats in the music library. The phone comes with an inbuilt 2.5mm port. There is a 3.5 m Nokia AV connector which comes free with the phone and this allows the user to use their favorite pair of headphones with the phone.
The 5330 XpressMusicalso has a 3.2 MP autofocus camera with which videos can also be recorded.
