Nokia 6720 Classic
The Nokia 6720 Classic is the second navigator phone which was unveiled by Nokia @ the Mobile World Congress 2009 and it seems to be a more ‘high – powered’ navigator solution when compared to the 6710 Navigator, which seems to be down on other features except for the GPS.
The Nokia 6720 Classic can be said to be a upgrade of the 6220 classic, which has tri-band UMTS support and an HSDPA speed of 10Mbps or, in Nokia’s terms, Turbo 3G. From the pictures, you also would’ve noticed the curve at the bottom of the phone which is meant to improve handling of the phone, but I didn’t really feel much of an improvement, actually didn’t really seem to make much of a difference. There are a variety of different colors which are also available for the phone. The plastic body of the phone has a more classy look to it and doesn’t really feel cheap like the 6220 classic.
Other than these, the 6720 Classic is running on S60 3.2, just like the 6220, but, just like all of Nokia’s newer smartphones, it’s been given a facial upgrade in terms of all the icons so that they look very much like the ones on the S60 5th edition touch UI, which is being utilized by the 5800.
The last change that we could find in the Nokia 6720 Navigator was with regard to the battery life. It is more beefy in terms of capacity, having a capacity of 1050 mAh, rather than the 900 of the 6220, which just means that the battery will last longer and you will be able to talk for more time.
The 6720 is set to be released in the second quarter of 2009 at a price of 245 euros before any taxes.
