Yet another high – class monster from the Samsung laboratories comes in the form of the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000, following in the heels of the highly successful Samsung Omnia i900, which was released last year. The Samsung Omnia 2 I8000 runs on the Windows Mobile operating system and, in physical looks, resembles closely the Samsung S8000 Jet. With an amazing set of features, the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000 is sure to be a success.

The 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen has a resolution of 480×800 pixels, making videos and images viewed on the phone extremely clear. Another notable feature of the screen is the fact that it is the biggest AMOLED screen to have been ever incorporated on a phone. The screen is rumoured in some circles to even be more sharper than the one found on the Apple iPhone 3GS.

The touch screen used in the Omnia 2 is a touch-resistive screen, making it easy to use. The Opera Mini browser which comes pre-installed with the phone is sure to make web browsing extremely easy. The 5 megapixel camera which is utilized in the phone has a variety of features such as smile detection, dual LED flash, face detection, geo – tagging and auto – focus. This phone might even make digital cameras hang their heads in shame. The camera is able to record videos at an amazing 720×480 pixels. The phone comes in 3 versions, one of them having an internal memory of 2 GB, another with 8 GB and the last one with 16 GB. The memory can be further supplemented by 32 GB by using a microSD memory card slot.

Internet can be browsed on the phone at HSDPA speeds, thereby meaning that you can download items at high speed from the internet. This handset also has a variety of other connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0, making it a phone that you have to have!
