The LG GT540 may be LG’s latest Social networking tool which uses the application social networking tool (SNS) manager, and as a result the LG GT540 will certainly attract social networking fans, which use Facebook, twitter, and Bebo. This phone is ideal for people who may be looking for a user friendly smart phone, as it is quite easy to navigate, and anyone can get used to it in a short period of time. In addition, this phone has quite a unique look to it as well. The LG GT540 seems stands out from the rest, due to its curvy, organic styling.

LG GT540 1This phone is available in four different colors (white, pink, dark grey, and black). This phone also has a 3 megapixel camera, which produces great pictures, good enough for you to upload it on Facebook and share it with your friends, plus you can also tweet on twitter while you are on to go. The LG GT540 also has Google applications, which is quite expected since it’s based on Google’s android technology. These application are: Google talk (Google’s Instant Messenger Service) Gmail, Google Search and Google Maps. LG Gives Android 2.0 a Try with the GT540

January 25th, 2010 Simon No comments

LG GT540The LG GT540 will be an addition to LG’s mobile phone line in 2010. This will be an entry-level, affordable handset, aimed at buyers new to the mobile phone market or one that is on budget. With the depressed global economy, mobile phone manufacturers are including a few inexpensive phones in their line-up. This is to be expected and makes good business sense. Recently we have seen the likes of the GD510 Pop from LG and now the GT540 is slated to be available in Europe early this year. There has been no definitive indication that it will be sold in countries outside Europe but that doesn’t mean that it won’t be.

LG has not released a full list of the phone’s specs. What has been made available or leaked is included in this post. Because of this, the specs are subject to change prior to the handset’s release.

The LG GT540 has many of the standard smartphone features. Users will have use of a 3 megapixel camera with face recognition and tagging features. They can add memory to the phone via the microSD card slot. The handset has 3G HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.55 headphones jack. The display is a resistive touchscreen and there is no physical keyboard.

Users will also be able to download a number of really cool apps. One potentially useful one is the New Media Player with DivX support. The Social Media Manager app may come in handy as well. Individuals will be able to access their social networking accounts right from their phone.

Overall, the LG GT540 is a nice phone. It has good basic specs. The 3.0 megapixel camera has just about become standard as has GPS and Bluetooth. Individuals looking for a good, basic handset might find this to be a good buy and we look forward to seeing the LG GT540 on contract sometime soon.
